The Crash Team Racing remake is rumored to be released on the PS4 platform. Previously, let’s look at the interesting facts that Crash Bandicoot has. It has just been officially announced that Crash Team Racing, which is the child’s favorite game of the 90s, will get a remake for the PS4 platform in June 2019. Well, therefore, let’s be a little nostalgic with the main character of the game, Crash Bandicoot. Here are some interesting facts about Crash Bandicoot that you might not know yet!
Inspired by the Tasmanian Devil from the Looney Tunes cartoon, the founder of the Naughty Dog game studio, Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin, decided that the game they were about to make will be themed adventures with marsupial animals. Before finding the bandicoot rat pig in the wild around Australia, Andy and Jason named their creation character as Willie the Wombat – until finally, they decided to use the bandicoot.
But when the publisher of Crash Bandicoot at that time, Universal Interactive Studios, insisted that the character must remain a wombat and was given the name Wuzzle to lure children who like cute animals, Naughty Dog fiercely opposed it. In the end, a character appears called Crash Bandicoot.
Most of us might think that Crash can’t speak like other characters like Dr. Neo Cortex or N. Gin. Naughty Dog designed the character Crash as a protagonist who is silent more often. The crash is only often heard saying words like “Whoa!” or “Yee-hah!”, and never more than that.
In a blog owned by Andy Gavin, he explained that we would feel more comfortable when Crash looked funny and fun without needing to speak because the sound given to video game characters usually sounded not cool. Even though it seemed to not speak, in reality, Crash could speak like a human.
