The origin of the lollipop is thought to have originated from an ancient human way to collect honey using a stick. They then consumed honey which had been collected directly from the stick. The forerunner of a more modern lollipop is thought to be found in the days of Arabic, Chinese, and Ancient Egyptian culture. At that time, the people made “sweets” by mixing fruits or nuts with honey and then stabbing them with stems to make them easier to enjoy.
