Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (commonly abbreviated as TMNT) was created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, owners of Mirage Studios, an independent comic book company founded on September 30, 1983. In 1987 the TMNT cartoon series first came out and through this series, the children all over the world get to know these four turtles who are good at fighting.

The beginning of their incident became Ninja Turtles because a truck carrying toxic liquid had an accident where one of the containers got out of the truck and about 4 baby turtles being carried by a child. The turtle fell into the sinkhole and was hit by the green liquid from the truck, along with a rat which eventually became their teacher in the teachings of Ninja from Japan.
