Sarah is a woman who is smart and his abilities. But when he married Abraham, he made a decision. He built his life goals in his duty to help her husband fulfill God’s purpose in his life. He postponed God’s purpose for Abraham, but he could not destroy it entirely. When Terah died, Abraham, 75 years old, left Haran the land that God promised him (Gen. 12: 4). The first attack came when they entered Canaan. There was a disaster in that area and Abraham decided to leave the place God had promised him and go to Egypt (Gen. 12:10). Maybe he had consulted Sarah, and he had shown the foolishness of his decision, but like most men, he continued to carry out his plan without considering the difficulties brought to his wife. Too many men refuse to seek advice from their wives. They think leadership gives them special rights to do whatever they want without discussing it with their wives and then agreeing to it together. They are afraid that wives can find reproach in their thinking or open their selfish short thoughts. So they continued to carry out their plans and the whole family suffered because of that.
